A Philanthropist, Community Mentor, and Cultural Champion
Born in Magadi and raised in Bengaluru, Mr. Babu Reddy Mareddy has never forgotten his roots—and it shows in everything he does. A compassionate leader with a heart for service, Babu Reddy has consistently dedicated himself to giving back—both to his homeland of Karnataka and to Indian-American communities across the U.S.
💛 Philanthropy at Heart
Babu Reddy’s greatest passion lies in education for the underprivileged. In Karnataka, he has supported schools in Gangavathi and Mallella village (Madanapalle district)—pledging funds to expand educational opportunities for over 800 students. From distributing books and supplies to committing funds to new school buildings, his mission to empower rural students is unwavering.
In the U.S., he has quietly supported several temples—donating natural stone, marble, tiles, or providing significant discounts and services. His contributions span temples in Queens, Middletown, Albany, Minnesota, and notably, the Hindu Temple at Fishkill, NY, where he generously donated materials when Dr. Ravi Reddy served as President.
Whether during the tsunami crisis where he raised $12,000, or his COVID-19 relief efforts, Babu Reddy has always stepped up during times of great need.
🌱 Vision & Values
Inspired by his parents’ guiding message—"Be the wind behind others’ wings"—Babu Reddy believes in creating equal opportunities for all, especially through education and skill-building for children who need it the most.
🎶 A Patron of Arts & Culture
A strong believer in preserving our cultural heritage, he actively supports musicians and dancers, seeing them as true cultural ambassadors. Whether it’s art, music, or folk traditions, he is committed to uplifting every part of our rich heritage.
He’s also a passionate tennis player, sports lover, and lover of the outdoors—but it's his heart for Kannada culture and service that truly defines him.
🙌 Transformative Leadership – Kannada Koota NY (June 2023 – April 2025)
