Roopa Viroopa a n Indian adaptation of the Beauty and the Beast choreographed and directed by Kala Arathi Rathna Dr. Sanjay Shantaram . Guru Dr. Sanjay Shantaram is a multi-talented personality—dancer, choreographer, actor, and vocalist. Trained in both Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam by renowned gurus, he is the Artistic Director of Shivapriya School of Dance in Bangalore and has over 3000 programs to his credit. We are very happy to have him choreograph and direct this play with the cast of our talented Koota members for our Kannada Rajyotsava Celebrations.

We are excited to announce that, Karnataka’s leading Janapada singer Smt.  Savitha K. P.  will be joining and entertaining us on November 11th. While she is in New York, she has graciously accepted our request to conduct a workshop for kids and adults who are interested in learning some folk songs. Those who will attend the workshop will also get a chance to sing along with Savithakka on stage during her performance on March 22. This will be a great opportunity for kids to learn about culture and learn some good folks songs. All music enthusiast please sign up by contacting our cultural head Gayathri Murali.
